Pupil Leadership

Children should have the right to express the views they have and those views should be listened to in anything that affects them.

Article 12 of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child.

School Council

At Riverview Infant our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.

Our Council has representatives from every class who are nominated and voted on. We hold regular meetings and have made decisions on things that involve us. For example recently School Council agreed they wanted to participate in more clubs and competitions – as a result we have increased our termly offer of clubs and have planned inter-class competitions throughout the year!

In addition, The Pathway Academy Trust has a Trust parliament comprising of children from each of the five TPAT schools. This council meets termly to discuss and decide on issues that affect the Trust as a whole. For eg. Chosen Charities and inter-school tournaments.

Staff and pupils enjoy all the exciting topics and events here at school. When you come to Riverview Infant School we are sure you will enjoy being here as much as we do.
